During her Adele’s performance at the 2016 Grammy’s, she experienced a technical difficulty that made her singing appear off-pitch. In reality, the piano microphone fell onto the piano strings and her personal mike shut off for a few seconds, but even knowing that Adele reported on The Ellen DeGeneres show that she felt embarrassed over the situation, as shown in the below video.

After sharing on social media (shown below) the technical difficulty she experienced, Adele spoke about the aftermath of her Grammy’s performance by treating herself to some burgers and beer to cheer herself up, along with indulging a good long cry.
The piano mics fell on to the piano strings, that’s what the guitar sound was. It made it sound out of tune. Shit happens. X

Because of it though… I’m treating myself to an in n out. So maybe it was worth it.

The singer told Ellen that she “kept spontaneously bursting into tears” the day after her performance, especially after getting tweets from fans that seemed to say she was forgiven for messing up, when that actually wasn’t the case. “I woke up the next morning to people being like ‘We still love you, don’t worry’ and I was like ‘I didn’t ask you if you still loved me, but thanks!’”
She went on to say how some fans, while they feel like they are consoling you, they can actually be hurting a situation.
To bring some light to the drama, Adele explained that, honestly, “if it had been a standout performance, I would have cried as well. I always cry.”
So we’re happy to see that Adele isn’t taking this one Grammy performance to heart.
